Weekday Market in Register-Guard

Right next door to the glass show, at the Tango Center at 194 W. Broadway, executive director Greg Bryant is still busy encouraging local vendors and artisans to take part in something he’s calling the Weekday Market. It’s expected to open Monday or Tuesday and run through Friday, Bryant said. Earlier this week, he said he’d spoken to about a dozen vendors who had expressed interest in being part of the market, but was hoping as many as 25 would eventually participate. “Everyone complains that nothing happens during the day on West Broadway, so this is a way to address that,” said Bryant, who is hoping the market will inspire some entrepreneurial spirit on the block. Bryant is hoping the Weekday Market could morph into something more permanent.
